Our Second-in-Command:

The HOLY SPIRIT.

Upon returning to His heavenly home our Commander-in-Chief's first order was to activate and hasten His Second-in-Command to fill and dwell in His followers (Acts 2:1-4).

And the Second-in-Command has been with and in believers ever since. He helps devise ways and means for gathering vital information; coordinates our different assaults on the enemy's forces, and expedites our battle offensives in the most strategic manner.

Prayer Warriors, think of your praying as an intercontinental ballistic missile. This missile (your prayers) can be launched from where you are to any evil target...ANYWHERE (whether demons could be tempting loved ones in the home; or evil spirits harrassing neighbors across the street; or devils attempting to delude friends or missionaries around the world; or...) to protect the victim and destroy the assigned enemy target. But in order for the missile to hit its intended target, it must be aimed precisely to destroy its objective. Our Second-in-Command, the HOLY SPIRIT, is the guidance system. He directs our prayer missiles to assail satan's strongholds where they are.

For this reason I would like to suggest that the primary evidence that we are baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT is not for speaking in tongues, that benefits nobody (read 1 Corinthians 14:1-19), but is for having a passion and burden for saving the lost. Prayer Warriors must NEVER be content to just being average, we must plead the prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:10), that our heavenly Father will 'enlarge our borders.'

(NOTE: This site is not the criteria, or standard, for your Prayer Warrior status.GOD's holy Word, the Bible, is. It is the only safe course to persue as you view this or any other Christian websites.

This site is intended to only spark your interest and move you to investigate the Word more thoroughly yourself.)

Many Christians, and Prayer Warriors, have a misunderstanding about the HOLY SPIRIT. If you are one of them who sees the SPIRIT as a friendly little ghost, like Casper, or as a power that you can use...away with such ideas! They are blasphemous! Equally blasphemous, and deadly, is to speak against, or ignore the promptings of, our Second-in-Command. According to GOD this is the only sin He will not forgive (Matthew 12:31,32; Luke 12:10).

To be productive, prayer warfare must be offered according to divine order. Praying 'in the SPIRIT' is a portion of that order. Many prayers remain un-answered simply because the petitioner/intercessor failed to observe this clearly defined condition in our Manual of Arms, the Bible.

Let's have a quick review of who our Second-in-Command is and what He does. Before returning to heaven, JESUS promised His followers,  "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (this is interpreted to mean  "Comforter, Counselor, Advocate, Strengthener, Intercessor, Standin...), that He will remain with you forever; the SPIRIT of Truth... He will teach you all things (~John 14:16,17,26). So, our Second-in-Command, JESUS says, is "the SPIRIT of Truth, our Helper, the HOLY SPIRIT."  He testifies of CHRIST, empowers our spiritual warfare, guides our prayer missiles, comforts and strengthens us for all conflicts and confrontations, teaches us victory praying, and  translates our missives (prayers) for the Father (Romans 8:26,27).

We, as Prayer Warriors, know our enemies use whatever devices they can to keep those for whom we're interceding from coming to the knowledge of Truth and receiving CHRIST as their Savior and Redeemer. To have them delivered requires that we "wrestle in prayer" as Epaphras did (Colossians 4:12,13).

Just like our Commander-in-Chief, the Second-in-Command will "NEVER leave us, nor forsake us", in this important conflict. He is our Intelligence Agent, and guides us to hit enemy targets, via our prayers, with 100% accuracy.

Warfare praying under the guidance and direction of the HOLY SPIRIT reminds us that we fight this war from a position of victory, not defeat (Romans 8:31). And we cannot improve heaven's master plan for the salvation of sinners; or the complete annihilation of satan and his army.
