ANSWER: When you become a Christian, you automatically enlist in heaven's army here on earth. There is a war raging--one that we cannot see with our eyes, but it is just as real and even more devastating and destructive than the kinds of wars on this earth. This is a war for souls, a war of eternal consequences. As Christians we cannot comfortably sit in our church pews smug with satisfaction that we, at least, are saved. Battle zones are visible everywhere; they are present in our immediate families, neighborhoods, our communities, our countries ...the world. All are battle zones.
